Gray ones are all gone. I just got a new roll of material (white) and will have more covers the end of this week or first of next week.

Are these still in production? I'd like one if so
IronHillRestorations
Hey Guys! Thanks for all the inquiries. I'm in the process of sourcing a new material.

The vinyl coated material that I've used for years has been discontinued and the only color left in stock is the white that I've used for the past couple years. Functionally the gray and white are equal, esthetically not as much. Gray just works better with all colors that white.

I should have samples by the end of this week, and I'll post the info as it's available.

Thanks. biggrin.gif

Great news. Can you shoot me a pm when your back in production?

The Umbrella is just fantastic ! Here's a shot from the 2012 WCR in Marina, CA. Got there Wednesday and was met by a light rain. I've had mine going on three + years and it still looks new ! smile.gif

Got samples last week, and the exterior is perfect, but the side that touches the car is too rough and will scratch paint.

It looks like it's going to be white only for the foreseeable future.

I should have covers in hand in about two weeks.

Pm sent. What's the current price?

One of the best things I ever bought for my 914.
Now if Perry would make one for my Boxster that would be great.

I will have another batch of Umbrella Covers in hand by the end of this week. Price is still $125 shipped to your door in the Con-US (extra actual shipping less $12 to AK HI and export).

Sold on a first come basis. 10 will be available (2 already pre sold).

Hi Perry. Just sent $125.00 to your PayPal account. Thanks for making these!

PM Sent, Perry I will take one. Thanks Jon

Perry's new covers are awesome. I think I was one of the first people to have one in the new material. My car has no windows and stays outside 100% of the time and I still have not gotten a drop inside the car. Still wonder why Porsche didn't offer something like this when they were still selling these cars. Great product, and a great guy.

PayPal sent for one cover please.

Thanks

I am considering one of these for my track car that has no side windows. Any experience using this for a car that is being towed? Did it keep dry inside? Would it scratch the paint?
Cuda911
How's the fit when the targa top is off? Do the bungees hold it tight enough?
dlkawashima
Sorry for the messy garage but here's the cover in place without the targa top. You can see that it sags a bit in the middle but it's not bad at all. You can hook the bungee cords to whatever slot in your wheels that you like, so there should be no problem getting a tight fit.

Any news on when these will be ready?
ThePaintedMan
I would NOT use it for towing. But it does keep the interior completely dry even without windows.

Another batch will be ready in about 10 days!
IronHillRestorations
Taking a little longer than expected, but I should have some ready to ship next Monday or Tuesday. There will be 15 in this batch. The last batch sold out in a week, so if you need a cover, don't wait.

This will be the last batch at this price, so if you want to save $7 order one now!

how much are they?

Any chance you might make a run out of regular car cover type material such as the super nice Silver guard? The heavy plastic while fully weather proof is a bit like a plastic tarp and heavy.

Living in sunny CA would love a fabric version for primarily sun protection.

That fabric is very expensive. I'll see what I can find, but I'd guess it could double the price.
