Over the years I've had six R wheels. Bought a pair at Hershey for $ 175. !!
Tough to mount modern tires on them.
Like many othr parts....wish I still had them.

I used to see pics of Campagnolo wheels on 914’s. Haven’t seen it in a while but always liked the look.

*Not the new ones, the older narrow wheels.

Funny how time and tastes change. My 914 started out on Pedrinis and I didn't like them back then. But both of your 914s look great to me on Pedrinis. wub.gif

Also like four-lug Fuchs and, on the right car, four-lug steelies. 15x6.5 Minilites, too. There are a lot of good choices for the narrow cars—love the black-center 2.0 Fuchs as well as the 16x7s above—but I went for five-lug Fuchs "deep sixes" in the 1990s and am now toying with 215/60R15s on 7Rs for the rear…

Loving all three of these.

My favorite wheel is the American Libre with black centers.

^ Was Euromeister an Automotion brand that sort of lived on after Automotion was sold, and maybe sold again?

Fortunately, Braid wheels (and one other?) makes 16-inch Fuchs-look wheels these days. Braid is better known for its rally wheels, so I would guess they're plenty strong.

Hmm. Looks like the Euromeisters are available—sort of—through Rose Passion/Automotion, but not in the U.S. anymore? The good news is Porsche is selling real 16x7 forged Fuchs, at least in the 911 offset. The bad news is they're 3-4x the price Euromeisters were.

The Euromeisters/R888s look great on your car—how much work was required at the rear fenders to get them in?

Do you have a link for the Euromeisters, I can't find anything on their site.

^ A wheel as ahead of its time as the 914 it's bolted to.

Fifty years later, the Mahle Gasburner and the 914 remain ultralights among Porsche's production offerings.

https://www.rosepassion.com/en/original-fuc...3852?r=kl73dsl8

Listing them at $624~ each, but hard to figure out if they're replicas, real, new, restored, etc. A quick bit of crawling led to the Bird Board, with a thread that said Rose Passion bought Automotion and started raising prices and no longer selling the wheels in the U.S. I wonder if that was a precursor to Porsche and Fuchs getting back into the game with the real thing?

The link says they are original Fuchs wheels. I hate the rose passion website. They almost force you to pick a car to do a search. My car has 944 parts, 2002 911 Turbo parts, 2008 911 tiptronic parts, and others. Picking a single car/year doesn't work for me.

I was able to find this. It might be what I am looking for. No brand, just "Rim"

I was considering these "Fake Cookies". Looks like they sell through Discount, but I have not verified that yet. Not sure about the offset either, but they seem to be targeting early VWs.

These seem to be "Fake Minilites":

That is more of a Panosport clone. Minilites never have a lug hole that happens to hit a spoke. That little design flaw drives me crazy.

Both Porsche & VW offsets. Also a guy on Samba was selling sets. A tad on the heavy side or I would be all over them. Painted silver of course.

16 7s & 8s…nice. 205/55R16 & 225/50R16? There are so many great performance tires available in those sizes right now.

But my heart has a tough time choosing between the 15x7 Fuchs and 15-inch BBS—with one looking so correct/right and the other adding an unexpected (and very cool) twist. This is one of my favorite narrow-body 914s…
