Anyone I've had any contact with in banking/finance/etc. has uniformly said don't ever use Venmo or Zelle with anyone you aren't 100% sure of. And basically don't every use CashApp for any reason ever ever ever didIsayEverIMeantEVER.

I am happy the site is back up, but I am troubled by the fact that I was one of members targeted.
Hopefully nobody was affected by the fraudulent things going on here. By my user name or any others.

Still a couple little things weird with my account, hopefully nothing to serious.

my wife (we) got scammed. She received a text on her phone, "Zelle- did you authorize a payment of $250.00?"......Wife replied "No", Bam received another text from the real Zelle stating that a payment has been made. she logged into the bank acct online.....scammers took $3000.00.

it was our business account and we got the money back from the bank, my question to our banker was, "can't you all see where the money went?" has to go into another bank account? got some long winded answer. anyway........... My lesson was, don't reply to texts that you don't recognize. regardless of who they say the are. so, no more zelle, venmo for us.

Well, I miss being able to do a lot of curricular activities with the group. I'm chained to the house taking care of Dianne these days ... and it's gonna be a while before the chain can get cut

You are not alone with wife minding duties. My wife needed emergency knee replacement that got infected about 3 weeks after surgery, requiring more surgery and an 8 week stay in hospital. That killed her mobility and she needs a lot of support. Even standing takes a great effort, and the Parkinson's does not help a bit. Thankfully I have all of you members.

@davep I have nothing but empathy for your wife. I guess you found out that all those forms you signed let the hospital and dr's off the hook.I had the same damn thing happen to me in 2007. A simple torn meniscus surgery. In and out in 2 hours. The hospital infection (septic) required 3 more operations. They sent me home with a pic line and IV pole running antibiotics through me until I developed an allergy to every known antibiotic. This happened 5 days before the 4 week regime was to end. I was told if it didn't work at that point the leg would come off. Six months with no income other than my savings.

I hope she gets better soon Mark.

Maybe it's just my ineptitude, but the forum seems really messed up. Andy, hope that you can get through the mess. Post again how we can help support your efforts please.
