I'm guessing it'll be like last year, 2-way radios may or may not be useful due to line of sight and such, but if you got 'em, bring 'em. FRS/GMRS 2-way radios made by Motorola, Cobra, Midland, etc.

Probably the main advantage of having one is gaining the ability to hear Ken swearing and cursing upon breakdowns and/or getting lost..

Ken may just have to keep the Golden Shaft award.....

Wish I could be there - be at my daughters wedding. Drove my 75 to work (never do - only weekends) in honor of all the 914s on the road. It is still a hoot for folks to asssssk - what is that - or I have not seen one of those (what is that) in years. Drive safe - see you next year

Well... I just broke off a couple of pinion teeth Sunday. But the transaxle's out and I'll have it back together pretty quick. Into the spares I go!!!

It seems one of the sponsors 'donated' something to the MUSR event and then charged the organizer for the shipping. I just think that's wrong. So, I sent an extra mug to be either given away at the event or given to the organizer who got ripped off by the sponsor. Have a great time you guys and thanks for all your hard work organizing this!

After Scooter's rebuild this summer we put the engine/trans package back in. Worked for awhile tuning her up on the lift. Shut her down and looked under the car for leaks. Damed if we didn't have a leak at the flywheel. Pulled the package, replaced the seal and the o-ring, put it back in, warmed it up Damed oil leak is still there. Ordered a new flywheel. Will install this weekend along with new seal & o-ring. If the stars are aligned all will go well and I'll still have a few days to bed the brakes & get it alligned before Eureak Springs

I will stick a star by the ones I know for sure for now. I will get the rest of them tonight when I have time to go back through registrations.

MUSR 12 gets a special hardware kit assembled.

You get:
1969-1972 door hardware + door hinge bolts + new unmolested chrome window cranks + buffers

I will have about 4-5 kits in Replica and 4-5 in Stainless kits of this combo.
You lucky dogs.
It will be around $150 per kit

About half of all the door hardware from Porsche is NLA and the cranks are NLA. I'll take cash, cash, and cash ...and definitely not your kids.

I will also have that kit plain jane with just the hardware in Replica and Stainless. About 5-6 kits each.
Late 73-76 will come in one flavor only with the option of Replica or Stainless topping.
Engine Dress Kits will be in Replica and Stainless.
Lock kits in Replica and Stainless around 5-10 kits each. (not a high priority in assembling)

My route to MUSR - in case anyone is on the same path - but it is unlikely...

9:00AM - Depart Andover, Kansas - backroad driving all the way
Noon - Arrive Miami, OK - lunch with some friends
1:30PM - Depart Miami, OK
3:30PM (or so) - Arrive Eureka Springs

Rough plan for couple of us:

Ross (heading from Lafayette IN) and I (heading from Chicago) are leaving Wed evening, meeting around Springfield, then layover just past St.Louis in Eureka Missouri. Finishing up Thursday AM to Eureka Springs.

Anyone have any parts that they need that I could bring with me to MUSR? (they have to fit inside one of the trunks...)

I need the rubber side cover for the rear of my transmission and a shift rod that doesn't have the cone screw hole stripped out.

I have the shift rod, not so sure about the rubber bit, is it sideshift or tail?
