Another Quick update:
If you are on the fence about coming, we need you to sign up by Friday August 28 (one week from today) in order to guarantee you'll get a shirt...and Steve has come up with an AWESOME shirt design that he'll hopefully be able to show you next week!!

Also, if you registered and have not sent in your payment yet, please get it in so we can start getting things ordered...those that I've received should have gotten a payment confirmation email...if you just sent it in the past few days, I should get it soon.

Lastly...is Bill Leehr on here? If so, Bill...your email bounced the other day when I requested your VIN...can you PM me your email address??

That is a 24% increase in number of 914s and 20% increase in attendees registered over last year

Its been about four years since I logged onto this website. Someone sent me the details on this event and I am seriously considering driving down from Grand Rapids Michigan. I plan to register in the next week if I'm going to make it. This is going to be the longest drive I have ever made in my 914.
I have a stock 74 914/2.0. I've been the same owner since 1988. Looks like it's going to be a great event. If anyone from Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio is planning to drive there, please let me know and we can try to connect.

Just installed Tangerine Racing spherical firewall shift bushing for Okteenerfest. Waiting on Dash from 914 Rubber, need to replace a CV joint gasket, clean up, and oh yea a new windshield and I will be ready.

Steve let me know who 100 was and I will see if we can do a special item for #100!

How does that compare to 2013?

It is pretty amazing what this has become. I was honestly flattered to be asked to be a part of the vision that Steve and Bob had. But I never expected it to grow into what it is today. While I know we all love our 914s. The way this event has grown shows that this often over looked car is really special to a large number of people.

It is amazing..I have attended both of them and 2014 was quite an increase over 2013. I was curious if you had the numbers for 2013 (cars and attendees)?

Michael - your hard work in getting support from some fantastic vendors has definitely helped grow this event.
If we keep up the growth, we will be well over 100 914s in a couple years! That is both exciting and a bit scary

In 2013, 28 914s and 47 attendees
In two years, we have more than doubled both the number of registered 914s and attendees.

Registration is now CLOSED.
I had to give the final meal count to the hotel today, Steven has ordered shirts and we printed and assembled all the registration packets this past weekend.

With a bunch of work things I have to do, Dragon Hillclimb this weekend, and having to get Huey ready for the hillclimb, to then immediately get him back into street clothes of Okteenerfest and be up in Banner Elk early Thursday, we had to get everything done this past weekend for Okteenerfest. Took all weekend, but we should be in good shape, thanks to the help of Bill, Ali and TJ Dunster!!

Special thanks to the Saville's, Bill, Ali & TJ, looking forward to a nice cool weekend drooling over great 914's and awesome 914-6 GT's.

Those of us that get to enjoy the fruits of your labor appreciate everything that has gone into this event from everyone that has worked so hard to make this thing a MAJOR 914 happening!!!!
