I didn't pay the extra 10 for the box.
mepstein
Decisions,decisions...Bought one of Morph's last deposit boxes. Have a nice console but it would need to be modified for the Rennshifter, install the console heater lever and needs different gauges for the six. Hard to see in the 2nd pic but the deposit box has 3 gauges added to the front. Hmmm.
Eric_Shea
At least "somebody" is moving forward on this thing! biggrin.gif

Deposit box is more vintage six but I like the console.

Finally started fuel injection reassembly. Took me a couple tries to get everything where it should be. (I'm no car mechanic). The purple air cleaner came with the engine but will not be staying. I have a stock air cleaner somewhere.

No Mark decided to go with something contrasting in the engine bay. The body colored air cleaner was a bit too ricey. We're thinking gold on the air cleaner would look good with the purple candy body first.gif

I trolled in the 912 boards a few years ago and was able to get a couple of really nice examples. This one has a small line in it through the "1" but the one installed in my car (fuzzy picture) is perfect.

Enjoy following your progress. Good info for us all.

LOTS of metal bumping, and shrinking today. I got the pass door about as close as it's going to get. If I had a bullseye pick I could get it closer, but as it is, it will only need a skim coat of bondo as opposed to the 1/8"+ it had before. Had a few small ripples in the rear trunk lid that didn't show in pics, but I worked them out with the shrinking disc.
scotty b
I got Marks valve covers cut down last week and dropped them off at the anodizers. Anodizer called today. I'm not real happy with the blotchy-ness but they claim that is a result of outgassing from oil impregnation. Since it is under the car, I'll leave it up to Mark as to whether or not he wants me to have them redone confused24.gif

Uh-oh.

I, ah, have a set of brakes that'll match if you're interested, Mark.

Very nice. Looking forward to hearing it run!

Looking at pelican, I'm glad I picked up the 3.2 when I did. Engine prices seem to be on the rise!

someday you may have a car to put it in unsure.gif This is going to be your year. Now that I have a good body man I can concentrate on the metal work and get a routine going. smile.gif

Sweet looking engine!

What HP and Torque do you expect to get out of that thing?

Nice work on the car too Scotty. biggrin.gif

Euro compression, 964 cams, custom steve wong chip, slightly stiffer valve springs. ~240hp. PO bult it for his streetable track car and then built an all out track engine. He sold the cr with the race engine and I bought this one. I've talked to him since purchasing and he's waiting for a ride in my car. Told me the engine feels pretty stock around 2-4K but comes on really strong up to 6850 redline. He said it felt significantly stronger than the stock 3.2 in his car and was more fun to drive than the race engine. I just need a late model DME and a conversion kit for the flywheel and clutch. Headers, muffler and a bunch of small parts.

And Scotty to do his thing.
