I sent Roger a picture that Clay took of me and my beloved Signal Orange 914. Roger has been given license to "massage" the picture in any way he feels necessary.

I would like to add that the picture is BY NO MEANS a full body shot - there's no way I'd do that! Suffice it to say I decided to "go with my strong points"

To get the creative juices flowing for others; I'd like to possibly suggest a couple of pictures that I would've LOVED to try but don't feel I could pull off...

1) Driver's door open, sexy left leg in silken hose (Clay suggests the ones with the line/seam down the back of them ), wearing a KILLER stilleto high-heeled shoe coming out the door opening.

2) Bright red (or color coordinated to the car) fingernail polish on the fingernails of a hand, holding car washing implement of your choice or without, carressing the wet, soapy flair of a fender.

Anyway, we'll see if Roger thinks the picture I sent him will do or not. Let's see what you girls have got!

I'm out. Last weekend I discovered the battery to my SD300 was missing. Bummed. Ordered another one on Ebay. Luckily, I still have the camera, and my memory card with all its contents. Plus I have my older model canon elph that I can still use. I was carrying around both cameras in my purse (was going to take pictures of our kitchen remodel) and stashed them, along with a baggie that had a toothbrush in it (retainers, y'know) in the glove box of the 4Runner while we grabbed a bite to eat. (They were getting pretty heavy in my purse.) Today, I found out both cameras are gone. So's the cell phone charger that was plugged in. I noticed the lack of charger yesterday, maybe earlier, but thought Brian just unplugged it. Turns out someone stole the cell phone car charger, and both my digicams. Left the bag with my tooth brush. Imagine that. And guess what? I've got two battery chargers, a photo printer, and a new battery coming from Ebay that I have no use for. I have no words.

I'm pissed. I'm depressed. I'll admit I'm a materialistic girl. Not a gold digger or anything like that. Materialistic in the original sense of attaching a lot of sentiments to stuff. Plus I feel completely violated (no jokes here, guys) The older Canon elph was a birthday present from Brian a couple years ago, and the SD300 I just bought earlier this year. Both have lots of pictures from the past couple months. If any of you have been following the saga that is Jenny's life, you'd know that I had a surprise trip to seattle which resulted in an engagement, I went house hunting, I bought a house, and have been working on it. All within the last two months. All carefully cataloged by photos. All gone. I'm going to go in my corner and sulk now. I fuching hate thieves.

I was just telling G-friend about my idea for a new 914club calendar and walla', got the email from Betty and Clay!!!

Holy molle' do I owe Clay a big "Thank You"!!! And all of you do too!

Clay and Betty have truly captured EXACTLY what I was thinking about when you tie together the two things I love. 914's and ladies.

You dont' owe me anything. I got to have FUN taking that shot..... 2 hours and 40 plus shots to get the look she wanted. And it was her idea to actually take the picture, and her idea for the pose.

Sorry to hear about the camera. I am the same way. I get attached to material objects and I find it hard to part with them. But in your case, the worst part is the loss of the pictures. May I suggest something? Thieves tend to frequent the same spots again and again, so get a cheap cell phone charger, put it in the same car that got hit before. Then put a loaded rat trap in the glove box under some tissues. Park the car in the same spot, and hire MikeZ to sit down the parking lot and wait for the thieves. He can walk up to the car after the trap has broken one of the thieves fingers and politely ask him what he did with your cameras.

My final advise to the 914-Girls.

Don't do it. Most (or some) of us want you as car friends, not sex objects. You will make a big mistake buying into this calendar thing. You will only satisfy and promote friendships with people for their own addiction.

Again, don't do it. How can we have a friendly beer after you post your picture. We are guys and we can't help ourselves once you stray from our 914 friendship.

I'll buy a calendar if there are professional models only.

OK...I've been watching this post and wondering if somebody was going to throw out the morality card ...my opinion is that Roger has a great idea....one of which is supposed to fun and spirited.....the majority seems to agree with that. I for one am looking forward to the calendar and hope all the ladies post some nice pictures that are within their own comfort levels...nothing wrong with a sexy pic if it you feel good about it and it makes you you feel good about yourself. Hey...I had a beer with Erin Brockavich and it didn't make me think I had (or was going to) have sex with her....lol ....I thought we we were all big people here....lol...we can handle it !!!

we're trolling the local craigslist for someone selling our stolen items. As for what to do if we found said offender? Well, shooting them would be too easy. Brian's going with the crowbar. I think I'd like to pull all their toenails off one by one with pliers. And then chop off a finger or two to remind them that stealing is bad.

As for the pictures... it now seems Brian's got the perfect bday present for me, a replacement camera. If I get one, I'll submit a couple pictures. If not, it seems like we've got plenty of models here anyhoo.
