One layer of filler, some more bondo and sanding and again a layer filler.
Next step will be sanding (wet)

This is true labor of love, and I think it will serve as a reference for a long time!
If there would be an award given each year to the best hell-hole longitudinal repair, this thread would get my vote!
No matter what the turnout will be, between excellent and very excellent, no body repair shop would of done a better job not even the factory

michelko,
I've been going through Mike Ginter's "Rustoration" thread and yours from start to finish. Trying to get a little inspiration to begin work on my car.
Maybe I missed it but, towards the beginning of your project you bought "Engmans stiffening kit" and I see that you applied POR15 to the inside of your passenger compartment. Did you decide not to use the kit?
Just curious.

I still will use the stiffening kit. But i will do the driver side first. Tillt hen i did the rust preparation on the passenger side. Have to grind down thedrillpoints later to bare metal to do a proper welding job.
Driver side isn´t as bad as the passenger side (from what i can see now).

after the job you did...you don't really NEED to put it in till you are ready. Most people get that kit to prolong the inevitable.

More Pics of the yesterday progress.
Mounted the front swaybar. It came from an 911 but fitted pretty nice. Whole thing was sandblasted and painted with por15.
What a difference in the driving!! Everybody should have that sway bar.
