I'm jealous...

(well not jealous of Rick's list)

I just reinstalled the motor, trans, axles-starter-exhaust, fresh air box, gas tank, pump, wiper linkage, dash, stereo, speakers, etc....

crawled in last night and it turns over
no fuel - no starting....
even though every inch of fuel line was replaced... the pump energizes but nothing comes out...


oh well


now If it will run, then I only have to pull both door panels, pull the rest of the interior, re-glue the back glass, and readjust the side glass...

etc...
etc....
etc...

running out of time on my list

My car is getting ready to have a new dash installed along with the front vinyl.

Air bubbles? Prime the pump? Hell, I don't know, I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Perhaps he should install some sort of kick start mechanism to get the pump runnin'

Maybe the motto when I was younger, if you can't getter whet. then use a 5 gallon water bottle and a foot pump, chanchunka chunka whoosh!

Funny you should say that Trevor. A couple years ago in Durango, I had a pump in the 1.8 that was failing. It would hum and not pump. However, if I hooked jumper cables up to it directly from the battery (funny with front trunk mount pump) it would pump great. Just a sign of the pump getting weak I guess. Not enough voltage would travel through the circuit to run the pump. With the jumper cables, hooked to the pump, it would get a full 12 volts which was enough to get me going for a little bit.

Not sure that is your issue Brnat, but you may check that.

Pump in the front, energized by the relay board in the back is a long way. Perhaps the 80s car convert man may have sumfin'.

You know that sounds like the pump oughta be pretty bloated by now if that be the case. Gas oughta be going somewheres. I suppose it is one of the funny triple inlet outlet jobs with internal flow?

Drove out to look at the cars today. It was crystal clear after an ice storm. All the trees like diamonds.
Then I recalled that my list includes rebuilding front air dam. Oh well.

Removed the tools from the floorboard and installed the pass seat.
The new jumpbox didn't want to work today, so the only electrical I got done was installing a switch for the shop lights.
Decided to install the matching frunk lock, but the rad shroud got in the way so blew the rest of the evening looking for the matching door handles etc. Found half. Did get the door latches out and cleaned, as they were gummed up.

Any progress is good.

This Thursday, the 31st, is the Last Day to order a shirt.

Man I would love to go to this! But got to many commitments... Someday hopefully.

I'm trying to get the days off work. I should know by tomorrow.
