I saw a yellow Jaguar E-Type today at TRU. Almost bought it but bailed.

Where the hell are the 914's? Do east coasters get screwed over even on the little bitty ones?

Wheel/tire swap! What/where/how did that happen? Details please.

I did it myself. There are a lot of different wheel styles on other cars in the rack. Find one with the same axle width, drill out the rivets on the bottom of both ( used a rechargeable drill and a bit about the size of the rivet), cut the little forks holding the original axles in, Slide in the new ones, and JB weld or a similar alternative. I notched the chrome plastic piece that retains the axles from the top with a hobby knife to drop the stance. I haven't JB'ed it together, yet, but the total time involved is probably under 5 minutes and $2-$3 for a donor mobile for rims.

What's TRU? Oh, probably Toys "R" Us, duh.....

East Coasters can't find both rust free real 914's or 914 toy cars!

I did see a 70-73 914 on 7th ave the other day across from FIT. Nice shape, chrome bumpers, Light green, forgot the color name.

No luck at Target at Springfield Mall or K-mart in Annandale

Found some beige things, a blue thing, a vw pack, but no 914's !

I have one blue thing and it is the crown of my collection now. I hope to find another. There are things from both matchbox and from hotwheels.

I got one today too! I don't know how they stock these... at this Walmart, the Matchbox cars are always pitiful and picked over compared to the Hot Wheels cars. Yet I checked, since I was in the store. I found one lonely 914 at the back of the rack.

BK911 . . . . was it a Target in Knoxville ??? Still no Matchbox 914's either at Target or WalMart here in Memphis near the Wolfchase Mall .

Oh well either they aren't getting any or someone is scarfing them up just after they are put on the shelves .

Well, you've ruined the resale value of a perfectly good, original, concours 914. I hope you're satisfied when you can't recoup your investment when it comes time to sell that "mod-ed" car. Tsk, tsk.

Over the past 3 weeks I've visited 3 Walmarts and nada...............today I went to Target and bingo I scored one 914 . Just goes to show my hatred for Walmart is well founded .

I found one at our local Target today in Champaign IL. They only had one.

Been to Kmart, 2 Targets, and Toys r us. Then found one in Walmart! I want to find one more I can open. Its kinda fun looking for stuff that only cost 1 dollar!

What is the cartoonish one John?

Its a Polistil. Kinda wierd, you see them on Ebay every once in a while.

Well I looked all over town, 4 wally worlds,2 k-marts, and 1 target. In one wally world as I was looking through the match box I met a collector of hot wheels and match box cars. We talked for awhile and he said he would keep an eye out for the 914 model. We exchanged e-mail.Today he told me he had found 2 914`s for me. I met up with him and we talked about the model also coming out in two other colors. He said if he saw them he would let me know where. Now to put one up on jack stands and change the wheels and paint it RED.

I got my jack stands and lift but no new cars from Wally world.

Wheres the other set of jackstands Kev, you cant have a 914 on only two jackstands.

They're so hard to make, I've made only one set.
Since I haven't found any 914 at wally world, Target
Maybe I can build another set.
