I just scored about 20 dark green ones yesterday in one of the local stores. Also picked up a handfull of the new Hotwheels VW SP2. If any of you guys are having trouble finding them and would like some, let me know. I certianly don't need all of these.

"Mustard" yellow Matchbox 914 sighted at Sterling Wal-Mart in special package. @$10 and the fact I have a zillion 914's, I had to pass.

I scored a blue 1970 Lesny VW bus yesterday at TRU! Pic in the future.

There was only one

Just got to mom-in-law's place in beautiful downtown Ellerbe NC (part of the greater Rockingham metro area ) and found a yellow-green 914 at the Food King.

I have found several dark green ones, but none of the other two greens. Yesterday I scored two 10 packs with the yellow ones!! Does any one want to trade a dark green for one of the really light green ones?

I came across two of collector packs at Target with the yellow ones, i passed on them also. I've picked up over a dozen of the other ones i decided that i have a problem.

BUT if they issue a signal orange car i will be all over them.

I don't know if it will be signal orange, but it looks like an orange one is due out soon:

Thanks for the info, I was really wondering! That's awesome about the Lesney 914, the all metal construction should be NICE! Seeing as Orange, Yellow, & multiple shades of Green have been utilized already perhaps Bahia Red has a solid chance of ending up on the Lesney model!

Also looking forward to that 1965 Austin Mini Van.

That Lensey one is a MUST HAVE!

Strangely, I have found more of the Green ones in Rite-aids and supermarkets than at ANY Target/Walmart/K-Mart/ToysRUs etc.

I logged a lot of seat time on my bike visiting all the Walmarts and Targets in my area. Guess I'll get to do the same thing next year...

And did you notice that one is designated "914-6" and not just "914"?
When did Matchbox start putting the actual car's picture on the packaging?

I missed that. I like the new graphics on the card. I think Hot wheels started doing this last year.

I spotted 11 dark green 1's at meijer, only bought 5 of em.

I just grabbed 5 of the red Lesney Editions off of GreedBay. He has 5 more.

I just bought one of the lensey edition 914s on ebay for $5 plus $5 shipping. Not bad I think. Anyway seller has 5 left, I don't know the seller so you make your own call but their feedback is 99.5% positive.

Resist as long as you can but sooner of later you'll sneak into the toy dept at Wallmart or Target and rifle through the rack looking to see what we all have found. If your a 914 nut you'll have to do it.

WOW WOW WOW! The best early birthdy present EVER!!! The all steel diecast on diecast Lesney edition is BAHIA RED! It looks just like mine although my "PORSCHE" banner is in black, this is awesome, I want 10 of those!

I found a green one at walmart a while back... I'll have to start looking for the 2011 version!

Scored dos. A mean greenie and a yeller one. Good stocking stuffers after the fact.

Now I realize where our behavior of hording 914's comes from. We were conditioned as children to collect. As adults (we some of us), we have actually taken this behavior to the next level and get the actual cars!

They are cool, I'll have to look for the blue one.

I think they only made 500 of the Blue ones and they were only available @ the MCCH Show. I've only seen them on eBay and most of them are over $50. So when I saw one for $34 with Free Shipping I did it.

I have seen a red and an orange Lesny on ebay. I have all of the colors except the orange, yellow, and Lesny.....soon.
