Any reason why the servo controlled valve can't be controlled directly without using the 'pot that came with it?

@TheRuttmeister Andrew - If you mean via the wireless steering wheel buttons/PMU, I don't have any more outputs. That said, I'm not that great with circuits and this is my first servo rodeo so if you have any ideas, feel free to share!
Plus, there may be another servo like this in my future as I was thinking it'd be sorta cool to use one to control the air system flaps so I could manage airflow between the windshield and foot box area.

If it needs to be done before sale, then perhaps one of the projects will be engraving NSF in some tasteful place. Always fun to watch and learn from, and I will be sorry to see it finished.

Yeah, I had a look at the manufacturer. Its a shame that they are not exploiting the CAN functionality by having add-on boxes that let you add 6 or 8 outputs for reasonable money.

And I'm guessing their firmware is closed and its not possible to do it yourself.

Of course I immediately went on ebay and bought a copy. I'd never heard of this publication but apparently, it's a limited edition of 2000 copies. I got # 1055/2000.

I'm pretty new to the 914 world, but i've seen several youtube videos with this car. I'm a veteran over on Grassroots and remember the RacerBenz build being pretty epic. Its pretty cool to connect these dots. Amazing builds you've got going on, and now I've got 231 pages to explore. I know you're looking to paint the car sometime in the future, but I really dig the ratty exterior against the precision fab work underneath. I'm in to follow!

Nice job Chris. Wiring is a PITA and it ends up giving you a headache! I have that same bypass valve on my heater circuit except mine is the vacuum actuated model. I didn't know it was available in 12v. Our cabins are so small that I had to install a ball valve inline to regulate the amount of water that can pass through the heating coils. Congrats on the write up. It was well deserved.
