Make sure your picture is a .jpg and it's smaller than 300kb
Bleyseng
Apr 18 2004, 07:04 PM
The pic has to be smaller than 300k to post and must be a Jpeg or Gif file format. If you are uploading from camera you are doomed. You must use a photo editing program for the pic.

Welcome to the club!
Gint, Thanks. I've wanted a 914 for 20 years, long over due to own one.
The car could use a resto, it's got a bit of rust here and there but it's pretty solid as it is. Hell hole is totally solid. Crappy paint job over the original lime green. The lime shows through rock chips, poor taping and around the gas tank. I'll be painting it the original factory color or something close if it isn't available. It's originally a 1.8 but now has an injected 2.0 just rebuilt. I'm getting the FI 1.8 engine as well. Will rebuild that someday and keep it in storage.
Lots of nice 914s here. Can't wait to meet a few of you from the northeast.
One more shot of the car.

Thanks alot! You probably did see it, I drive HER everywhere. It kinda hurts my back sometimes but i endure the the pain. It's rusted out under the battery bad. So it might become a donor car.

They are revolutions, the paint isn't great on them, cleaning and repaintng the (possibly with silver rims and black centers) is on my to do list as well.
It's a 75, I was thinking of putting the small bumpers on, but these are kind of growing on me.

Here's a pic of my mutt.Has the typical brake/suspension upgrades, glass flares,10' paint. After driving it 4 years with a slightly built 2.0, last winter saw the installation of a 3.0 with
Motronic.The grin factor improved immensely.

treemn,
What's the story with the motronic setup on the 3.0? What parts did you use? Looks like a 3.2 intake etc ontop of a 3.0. I'm sure it scoots. Hot looking car!

JmuRiz-
Yep, complete 3.2 Motronic(really just an upgraded LJet w/spark
management). I used a set of Euro heads to match the ports.
The only tricky part is the orientation of the flywheel sensors.
Drivability is exellent with mileage in the mid 20's.
