I love the fact that we still get 10-12 signups a day and this place is coming up on its 2nd birthday.

New people everyday. I love it.

As you can see I need to do a little body work. The original color is/was gemini blue but I am repainting it metalic blue (L98P). I've already sprayed the trunks and it looks awsome.

Not the most exciting pic, but this is from when I first went to look at my '75 2.0
before buying it last summer.

Now that I have it and have learned a lot more about them (thanks mostly
to this board), I have found where to look for rust- and there appears
to be a lot of it. mad.gif Looks like I'm going to learn how to weld, I just
hope that once I uncover everything I find that it's worth doing. sad.gif

What a beauty beer.gif

I sure like those wheels... nice clap.gif

Thanks Bruce... too bad the hub cap on the driver side has a nice dent in it. Anyone know if dents in the chrome caps can be 'pushed out' or restored someway to a 'no dent' condition?

Uhhh...more pics please. That car looks awesome!

Attached are a couple pictures of my ‘75 914 1.8. Still running strong with the original engine and original paint. I acquired this car about a year ago, and have more or less started learning to work on old cars during this time. This car is still a work in progress, but progress has been made. In the past year I have replaced the rear brake calipers, installed vintage Fuchs (had steel wheels), replaced tires, had the vinyl on drivers seat replaced, replaced the steering bearing, renewed the tire pressure powered window wash system, painted engine lid/deck black, replaced lettering on engine lid, added hood crest, replaced shift bushings, moved speakers & replaced door panels which had speaker holes, added passenger side mirror, wired for fog lamps, currently rebuilding a set of ‘75 fog lamps, and several other small projects too numerous to mention.
I still have many things planned for this car, and am enjoying owning it.
I could not have accomplished half as much as I did without the information & help I get from this forum. Thanks! driving.gif

People seem to either like em' or hate em'. For me the seats were the icing on the cake, once I removed the seatcovers on the way home with the car. Enjoy!

The wheels are Black Powder Coated Diamond Racing (Wisconsin) Steel Pro Racing Wheels 15X8, (4X130lug).
I sent them the size, offset, caliper clearance required and they made them coostum for me for less than $100 a piece.

Tires are Dunlop SP Sport 8000 P245/50ZR15.

I'm currently building a strong 2270 TIV to help turn the tires.
Got a ways to go on the power plant though! biggrin.gif

The board has been a great help already and I wouldn't have attempted this project without the information I learned. (maybe that's not good...) Planning to go V8.
