Thanks for the compliments. Was very lucky to come across it. One of my favorite colors too. Just turned 17 last month. I still need to get out a booklet of the resto photos to the original owner. Think he'll be pleasantly surprised.

My silver '71 original owner, my first car. And a '73 2.0 I'm currently restoring. Belonged to a good childhood friend who sadly died of a rare illness. His widow gave it to me because she knew it would have a good home...

Very nice! I love 914s in blue, especially the darker blues. Ancona and Alaska are my favorites. Good choice on the white for the decal. Really makes it pop. My first Jetta GLI VR6 was dark blue and I had white fender VW racing stripes on it. Good contrast. My current silverone has the same stripes in blue. Nice looking 914!
