Hi all!

Well, this is my first 914. I decided that I had to join the "in" crowd at work with their 99x based 911's... However I can't do anything normal.

So, I found this. Jim Traverse built 914 Hybrid conversion Twin Turbo V8.

Just offloaded it off the truck this weekend, starting to get to know the car. This car was published in Porsche & VW magazine in 1986. I hope to restore the car back to that condition.

At any rate. I'm excited. Look forward to many years w/ the car.

Tom.

Is that a big air scoop? Do you have more pics of it? I was planning something similar.

Every one of the 914 Alp photos is great! I haven't been there in 5 years myself and am equally envious!

I had a Kevlar disc originally that came from Renegade Hybrids, but it was a little overkill for my application. It supports up to 500 lb-ft of torque, where my stock LS1 is making closer to 300. I changed it out for an organic high-performance disc, and the clutch take-up & driveability are much improved. The Kevlar disc had a tendency to chatter on engagement. It's a good thing the car is so easy to work on!

This one shows relative heights of the 914 and my E46 BMW commuter-mobile, which has H&R lowering springs!

'75 with a transplanted, carb'ed 2.0. Partially restored victim of a 1.8 engine fire, it came with the husk of the 1.8.
Tenatively named the Blue Moai.
Lots of work to do - can't wait to dig in!

Hey guys, Just checking in. My name is RC and this is my 1975 2.0 that I have converted into a V8. I have had this car for about five years. When I bought the car It had a fresh 2.0 and a stock body with 16X7 Fuchs(went to my dads 914). I have flared the car with steel flares and added the 16X9 and 16X7 Fuchs. I am going for a Gulf oil theme with an updated twist.(modern colors)I am going to end up building a cage for it and doing the interior in almost a Ferrari race car theme with diamond stitching.
