Kind of does look like it, huh? The 'BB' has an abnormal amount of negative camber up front, but isn't quite as apparent in the pic below. Even though the rear also has negative camber, it's not as much as the front, but it sure looks like it. I think the angle of the shot is just amplifying it confused24.gif

1974 L13M LS1 v8 conversion outlaw originally built by mittlemotor.

I bought the car from a gentleman about a year and a half ago in San Diego.

Blew the motor in July 2016 then broke my foot 2 weeks later delaying the rebuild.

Took forever for the rebuild then the car went into the audio shop which took just as long.

What has been done since I've acquired the 914.?

Rebuilt stock 5.7L LS1
Custom stage 4 semi organic clutch from KEP
New speed hut gauges,(gps speedo, tach, and quad )
New toyo RA1 tires 205/50/15f , 225/50/15r
Removed appearance package center console
Custom built new center console
New custom fitted re carpet with modern Porsche carpet
Custom fiberglass box with 10" JL AUDIO sub in passenger floor
Focal ES KX2 6.5 separate speakers
RF 1000w 5ch digital amp
Spare set of wheels BBS RA 15x7's

Here it is. It looks the same as when I bought it on the outside. I put 10hours into the paint last week so it's a bit shinier.

Gatornapper,

It looks very good when wet. I think it should buff out great. Looks like you got a nice car for, as you said no money! Nice set up at your house.

Hi, new to the forum, here's my '74 in Phoenix Red. Was a Colorado car - now in the UK. Interested to know if anyone knows anything about the wheels - was told they came with the car originally. Cheers, Chris Click to view attachment

Bob -

That's not my Quonset hut, but my good friends about 30 miles west of me on his farm. Pics were by PO on the day he parked it in my friends barn 12 years ago.

I do have a nice garage (4-5 car; 5 if I put on on my lift and park another beneath it) with a full automotive shop.

You can see the doors to it if you check the link to the pics of my old Triumph's on my "Newbie from Virginia" thread.........

IIRC, those would be called 'Turbines', made by Western Wheels wheels. They could have been a dealer option, but not a factory option.

They look good on there smile.gif

Phoenix Red with center console and sway bars. ("S") I met the original owner years ago and he's still an active PCA member who auto crosses at 85 years young.
According to him, it was one of four early production 2.0 cars sold on the east coast when they were released. Bought new in Oct. '72.

Looking good, what are you planning for wheels?

Gatornapper
Preliminary detail - looking great - yet to do bumpers - bad news? All repainted except for rear deck that cleary shows its age (checking, etc.), even worse - hail dents pepper front and rear decks......

Not crazy about the roof spoiler or the white circle on the door but the flairs, color and wheels look fantastic.

Your English looks fine, as does your car ... especially the ATS wheels (my favorite wheels for a 4-lug 914)
