I haven't checked into this thread in a long time. Just caught up on a years' worth of pics. Great stuff! shades.gif

So here's one of mine as she bides her time (don't worry, oily cardboard is left over from power steering fluid from the 968 before I sold it) - a little dusty though:

Hi everybody!

this is my first post on the forum: I write from Italy where I was born (near Milan) 46 years ago. I owned lots of classic cars during my life: 1969 Fiat 124 spider, 1968 Ford Mustang, 1965 MGB, 1958 Chrysler New Yorker, 1971 Corvette... Now I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport 383 convertible almost finished (I started a long term restoration on 2007)

Let me introduce you my 1975 914 2.0 recently purchased here in Italy. She's from Sicily and the sweet and dry southern weather kept her in a splendid shape.

Well mantained and stored she's been resprayed only once by a Porsche professional restorer in Alessandria, Piedmont.

Original Zambezi green - Sambesigruen with a rare white interior / corduroy cloth. Some pics are over-exposed so I apologise for the inconvenience. I'll try to take better pictures in the future!

She's got the original paper sticker in the door jamb:

Recently, I changed the U.S. tail lights with the correct european ones: car has always been in Italy since new, so don't know why she get those "american" lens... sunglasses.gif

I know that city: I lived in Torino from 2001 to 2005, now my home is at Cuneo, 85 km from Torino... nice place surrounded by mountains... not so different from Austria!! sunglasses.gif

agree.gif Beautiful part of Italia! I lived in Sicily (near Catania) for four years in 1979-1983. I remember it well, especially when Etna erupted once or twice! We never did visit Milano, but passed through Torino on our way to Geneva. Very beautiful!

I remember one particular time the Carabinieri chasing down a Ferrari 308 with their Alfa Romeo Giulia … the Ferarri didn't have much of a chance, I think the Giulia was supercharged, and driven by a madman. But then again, it was Sicilia!

Oh, lest I forget … gorgeous interior on your 914! first.gif

Myself ,an NSX,Maserati coupe,a 911 Turbo and a Ferrari stradale. Couldn't resist a nice shot of
the landscape. Oh and prolly the only time i'll keep a Stradale behind me.

Hi, the wheels are 14 x 16 inches. Unfortunately, I get no more tire for it. That's why I have the rims fashioned to 11.5 x 16 inches. The fenders were wide GT, ixch have the widened on this measure. I think that's pretty good.

Great day to you .......... Alex

Let’s see your babies, 914’s only please!
We really don’t care what kind of POS water-cooled you drive. Unless it’s a 914 V-8 conversion of course!

Sorry our pic is a bit crappy.

Is there Anybody out there in 914 world who can make 2" 4 lug to 5 lug Porsche spacer adapter?
Have prototype but its made of steal (Wayyyy Heavy)

how do I get a fuel cap like that?
jim_hoyland
Singapore 914 conversion; one of two in the country. I'm posting this for a friend who occasionally visits the board.

For those who were around a couple of years ago, this car suffered some serious damage when it slid off the road. Several member on 914World shipped replacement parts - the bulk was from Bruce Stone. The car was completely restored .

A 2007 picture way before the rebuilt. Car had a 3.2 six; the rebuild is a 2.2 IIRC

Okay, here is mine. A 1974 2.0. Backdated the bumpers. Bought from a a nice guy on this list from Arizona. I've removed the spoiler and rear reflector, replaced the dash, put in the leather seats, had the car resprayed, did the wheels myself, tuned it up, sorted some electrical issues and it's a blast! I get thumbs up everywhere and tons of questions. People love this car.
