A 2.0L mostly stock with a Race cam & KB pistons.
Headers & MSD. Plan on having the heads ported & CR ~10:1.
Race gas only.
I would have gone to 44 IDFs, but we run almost exclusively High altitude (>5000 ft.)

Finished blasting and priming the tin from a 2L-6 engine today. Hope the hot weather sticks around long enough to spray a couple of good coats of semi-gloss black on them.

Jealous it's going to be a while before I'm to that stage... Been working on the body and realized after sanding for a couple of days the guy I bought it off left the spark plugs out....
who does that, now I'm going to have to tear everything down engine wise to make sure it didn't get a bunch of crap in there!
. I'm a dumb ass I didn't notice the plugs were out but still who stores a car with the plugs out?

Put a period Becker Europa radio in--first time I've had tunes in, well, since I bought my 914 in 1995. I got the Becker from a Canadian off the Samba--fourth try at a radio, and finally got one that worked! The Becker was $80 plus $30 shipping and works like a champ.

Check the diameter of that camera head. I had one of those and the head dia. was too large to fit in a spark plug hole. I ended up buying a more expensive one that had a smaller dia. head, + it can record and upload to a PC

A couple dabs of lube on the pivots and they are working like new.

The Europa (not Europa II), non-stereo. Not sure of model number though.
Only took me four radios to get a working one! (2 Blaupunkts, and one Sapphire before the Becker). Sent one of the Blaupunkts to a shop in CA to be fixed...total goat rope so far. Anyway, don't need it anymore!

i recently sold a becker europa it was from an old benz it almost worked but didnt. still got a good chunk of change for it.
What did i do to to my 914 today? I went to the junk yard and searched for a sway bar that was straight so i could cut it and make it work like the original 914 one. I ended up with a 3/4" bar from a 76 caddilac deville. Should work fine. Ill put flanged bearings in the body and make my own drop links. mini bike shock ends for the bottoms and 4 wheeler tie rod ends for the tops. and make my own adjustable sway bar ends with a slot for adjustment and squared ends to put on the bar. then ill drill and tap the bar so they dont go anywhere. should work out grand.

Have you tried slipping a piece of pipe over the wrench for more leverage? Sometimes I'll do this with the pipe parallel to the ground, and then put a floor jack under the pipe and jack it up. Works ***most*** of the time. Good luck!
