Sweet! Don't forget to drain it. You may want to crack all the nuts lose to make disassembly quicker at the Docs. You will have a blast.

Neat trick, Doug - turning a straight stretch of road into a twisty with the push of a button driving.gif

Well, apparently, I misplaced the hardware for the rocker panels, so that didn't get done ... just a mock-up headbang.gif

By the way, a mid-rise lift isn't the best tool for working on rockers ... will need to vie for some time on the 4-post for this task idea.gif

... but I did get the rear valance installed smile.gif

Michael-
how does the middle seat work out with the cops? no seat belt? or you have one?

curious--I got a 9 year old that I would love to take with me and wife, but concern to run into a ticket…

So in the engine compartment there is this old crusty sticker that states that the seating position is 2+1 . I am not sure what years came with the center seat option but I would guess that the early cars with the fixed passenger seat did. The down side is that the center seat is only a lap belt and not a 3 point belt. As far as legal, I think I am fine in CA as there is a belt in the factory location.

Since the 'BB' will be my 'DD' for a while (so we can do some overdue maintenance to the Tacoma), I needed an antenna for a two-way radio. Installed a through-the-glass type since it needs to be as high as possible and I didn't want to drill any holes in the car shades.gif

What do you think of the sound of the banana muffler Mark? I loved the sound on my car with the webers... sounded like a proper 4 cylinder Porsche from the 60's.

I Like it, Ethan. It's noticeably quieter than the Triad and seems to be better matched to my current jetting. I still need to set up the AFR and re-jet accordingly, but very happy with it's performance, look and sound smile.gif

Joe Sharp had been telling me to get one for a long time ... just took a while to find a nice one at a good price.

Good deal! When I went from my header to heat exhcnagers/ banana, I had to jet down a LOT to get it back to where it was happy. I don't know why people get rid of them in the first place.. I guess they rust out

Most people think they aren't neat or cool. Performance is what is cool and you don't get a better pipe until you spend more that $1,500, but the coolest pipe is about $2,500 from CFR. Thats like all of the bikers that can't ride. Loude pipes save lives. How stupid is that? Relying on a noise to keep you off of a car instead of just paying attention and riding around it. This is being said by someone that has more than 150K miles riding in LA traffic on just one bike and I wore out 3 bikes. If you want to lose performance put on a loud pipe.
euro911
I think the banana added some back pressure that was lacking with the Triad. It's still running rich, but I already notice the increased performance. I should be getting my Weber jet kit back at the G&R this Sunday ... and I'll get it dialed in better smile.gif

Replaced my 40 year old cowling to fender seals that were hard as a rock and had shrunk. Sorry about that George Costanza!

Good thing I pull them because there was a little surface rust that I treated and painted.

Got them from Auto Atlanta and the set only cost $4.00.

Easy upgrade and fix.

Decided to re-stain the wood in my center console a little darker. With another sanding session and some clear coat, I'm gonna call this one done. I still need to make the vertical piece for the small gauges.

Yes, they are Cocomats! Color is taracota and black. . I also just put a set in my boxster(gold/black to match my speed yellow car)

The door panels I made by using the originals as a template, stained burled wood plywood a cherry.
They fit nice but I never figuredd out how to trim them out to look nice
.
Right now they are not in the car. I put in a new set of panels with fiberglass cores from morph.

Valance was dented (creased) but definitely repairable. This was my first experience with a "premier" Pick and Pull. Prices seemed doubled.

Drove it..and drove it..and drove it. 700 mile trip, and just got home from it. Was a great time, and the car ran great the entire way. The 6 conversion has definetely made the car more driveable than the old 4 banger.. the car seems more subdued over the bumps, and just way smoother to drive. (Makes the girlfriend happy on the long drives)

Worked on my new engine that I purchased from a fellow here. Getting the motor ready to put in my car. MPS is good but can't find a serial # on the ECU to verify if it matches with other. Dizzy drive gear was pointing way off so now corrected. Passenger side engine tin has a cut out for A/C so I removed it to replace.

BTW, does anybody know the size of this long stud?? Found out one of the studs needs rethreading.
